How eBay France Fees Are Calculated

Final Value Fee (FVF) — the main eBay fee, charged as a flat percentage of the total sale amount (selling price + shipping charged to buyer). Rates vary by category:

  • Private seller (all categories): 8% flat
  • Commercial — most categories: 6.5%
  • Commercial — Electronics (phones, laptops, TVs): 3%
  • Commercial — Tech accessories, vehicle parts: 5.7%
  • Commercial — Pets & Baby: 7%
  • Commercial — Beauty & Clothing: 8%
  • Commercial — Tires: 3%

No transaction fee — unlike the US or UK, eBay France does not charge a separate per-order transaction fee.

International Fee — extra % on the total sale when selling to overseas buyers:

  • No (domestic): 0%
  • Northern Europe: +1.5%
  • Europe I (DE, UK, IT, ES, US): +1.5%
  • Other Countries: +3.5%

TVA (VAT) on Selling Price (commercial sellers only) — shows how much of your selling price is TVA collected on behalf of the tax authority. Calculated as: Price × TVA% ÷ (100 + TVA%). This is already included in what the buyer pays — it is not an extra charge.

Profit = Total Revenue − All eBay Fees − Item Cost − Shipping Paid. The margin % is profit as a share of total revenue.
